Bringing an element of joy into environments where children and families spend time patiently waiting during treatment is vital.

We are facing an unprecedented era where health challenges are increasing exponentially, medical administrators and associated health professionals require solutions to make paediatric clinics, hospitals, aged care homes and other health facilities welcoming and nurturing for children, parents and grandparents alike.

Jungle Play specialise in naturally-inspired play sculptures designed to create colourful and calming spaces for positive, healthy, familial interaction - ranging from full hospital playspaces to small, cosy, quiet play zones in new and existing paediatric treatment spaces.

Similarly, aged care facilities benefit immensely from the inclusion of Jungle Play’s botanical furniture sculptures into their indoor and outdoor communal spaces. This improves the patient and visitor experience by offering quirky, comfortable seating and tables for patients and their visiting families to spend quality time together, share a meal and create lasting memories.

The simple addition of Jungle Play sculptures into these facilities has successfully transformed many austere medical environments into inspiring, inviting and tactile spaces thus alleviating anxiety and enabling patients and their families to relax and feel comfortable during difficult times.

Gumnut furniture to use an iPad or a Toadstool Table Set to read or draw or perhaps a Caterpillar, Bee or Ladybird to ‘ride’ will brighten any space and ultimately encourage patient or waiting room wellbeing. If space permits, a whimsical cubby house such as Mushroom Playhouse, Beehive or Gum Leaf Pod will offer children respite and a perfect mini escape to distract from any potentially stressful situation at hand. Jungle Play’s unique play sculptures can be relied upon to keep little ones focussed on play and fun.

Jungle Play has created play environments for several hospitals and clinics throughout Australia. The Happy Garden, at Randwick Children’s Hospital, is a shining example where a dreary balcony was transformed into a magical garden for family healing and memorable moments. The Happy Garden was purpose-designed by Outhouse Design utilising Jungle Play sculptures for a much-loved living angel, Fairy Sparkle. The Happy Garden features the Giant Toadstools, Toadstool Table and Chair Sets, Gum Leaf seats and Giant Daisies and provides families with a beautiful, nurturing environment for respite and quality time together while facing difficult challenges.

Jungle Play was also integral in the realisation of the adjacent George Gregan Playspace at Randwick Childrens’ Hospital as well as playspaces at the Queensland Children’s Hospital, Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Victoria and at numerous paediatric medical facilities across Australia.
