One of the most demanding tasks of the aged care industry is collecting compliance documentation for accreditation assessments.

Aged care staff, from directors of nursing to clinical leads, can spend a lot of valuable time gathering evidence to use in self-assessments.

Veridia, a hygiene consumables supplier in NSW and QLD, has developed a unique offering to help aged care executives with self-assessment paperwork. Our dedicated and experienced service team assemble the documentation themselves, in collaboration with your floor staff.

This audit, provided free of charge to customers, gathers evidence from your site for the Standards covered by our range. Applicable sections include Standard 3 – infection control precautions, Standard 4 – safe and secure equipment, Standard 5 – safe and clean environment, and Standard 7 – staff education.

Comprehensive site evaluation for self-assessments

Veridia's site-specific research for self-assessments includes:

A site audit: Experienced Veridia staff spend a full day reviewing your site’s safety and infection control across the kitchen, laundry, and housekeeping residential services. For evidence, our team takes photos of your product setups, wash stations, and other equipment.

Interviews: Your dedicated Veridia representative conducts stand-up interviews with members of your middle management and floor staff, to get their opinion on your facility's performance against the Standards.

Equipment and process testing: Our technical specialist organises and documents onsite checks of your cleaning equipment and procedures, including examples of maintenance schedules, service reports, and repair records.

A compliance standards inspection: We provide an in-depth report of your facility's hygiene compliance, delivering recommendations such as 'install hand wash guides' and 'conduct additional laundry training'.

Photographic and written evidence from this research is collated into a self-assessment document, and you provide a self-rating for each outcome.

Industry leaders endorse comprehensive compliance solution

Sapphire Coast Community Aged Care has been one recipient of Veridia's Standards Resource audit. Current and previous CEOs Julie Evans and Matt Sierp praise the document as a valuable report that saved them time and effort in the accreditation process.

"The Standards Resource document from Veridia is one of the best pieces

of work from a supplier I've seen in my 30 years in the aged care

industry. It gives me end to end peace of mind knowing that our

compliance is met in one booklet.

The importance of it, though, is they've tied their products and services

as well as their education for our staff back to every standard that we

have to comply with in the aged care industry. No other supplier has gone

to that level of detail as yet in the industry that I've worked with.

We are now putting more staff time back to care because of Veridia

having that end-to-end service with us."

Matt Sierp, Sapphire Coast's

previous CEO
